Major reshuffle of IPS officers in Bihar

IPS officers in Bihar have been assigned new roles in major reshuffle. Anil Kumar, a 2010-batch IPS officer, currently posted as DIG, Finance and Technical Services. will now serve as DIG of Prohibition and NNTF, Bihar (Patna), while Mrityunjay Kumar Chaudhary, a 2010-batch officer, has been assigned the responsibility of DIG, Civil Defence, Bihar.

Likewise, Rajiv Ranjan-2, a 2012-batch officer, has been appointed as DIG, Special Vigilance Unit, Bihar; Ajay Kumar Pandey, a 2012-batch officer, has been given the responsibility of DIG, Finance and Technical Services and Amir Javed of 2012-batch has been appointed as DIG, Vigilance Investigation Bureau.

Mithilesh Kumar, a 2012-batch IPS officer, has been assigned the role of Commandant, Bihar Special Armed Police-9, Jamalpur; Sushil Kumar, DIG, Legal Affairs and Rules, has been given the additional charge of DIG, Human Rights.

Hriday Kant of 2015-batch has been appointed as the new SP of Nalanda; Bharat Soni of 2019-batch joins as SP of Siwan; Roshan Kumar of 2019-batch is now the Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Saran.

Similarly, Raj, a 2019-batch IPS officer, has been appointed as the new SP of Rohtas; Awadhesh Dixit, also of 2019-batch is the SP of Bhojpur and Garima of 2018-batch has been assigned the role of SP, Weaker Sections and Women's Cell, (CID).

Puran Kumar Jha of 2018-batch has been transferred to the Bihar Police Headquarters in Patna, pending a new posting; Vineet Kumar of 2017-batch IPS officer, has been posted as the SP of the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS), Bihar; Manish Kumar has been given the responsibility of SP, Special Vigilance Unit; Ramanand Kumar Kaushal has also been appointed as SP, Special Vigilance Unit and Rajesh Kumar was assigned the role of SP, NNTF (Narcotics and Liquor Prohibition Task Force) and State-Level Control Bureau.
