In the corridors of power, names of some IPS officers are floating as his successor. They are- Sundari Nanda, SBK Singh, Balaji Srivastava and Sandeep Goel. Goel is posted as DG, Prison and a 1989 batch AGMUT IPS officer whereas others belong to the 1988 batch AGMUT cadre IPS officers.
