Samit Sharma, IAS: Transforming Rajasthan’s Co-operative sector

Dr. Samit Sharma, IAS officer from Rajasthan, a go-getter who transformed the medicine supply and goaded the fraternity towards alternate and generic medicines in an effort to make it affordable for masses is in the limelight again. His intervention in the medical field while he was in the state Health Department has been replicated by most states in the country.

Sharma, who is Secretary to the Government and Registrar of the Cooperative Department, Rajasthan, is bringing a renewed sense of energy to Rajasthan’s Cooperative Department with his focused leadership. His emphasis on public-friendly administration, quick resolution of issues, accountability and timely execution reflects a clear commitment to making the department more responsive and accessible.
