WHO panelists: Sudan in , Gokhale out

Former Health Secretary Preeti Sudan has been appointed the World Health Organisation’s independent panel for pandemic preparedness and response. She is a 1983 batch retired IAS officer. It is said that the GoI had reportedly forwarded the name of former Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale for the panelist , but WHO ignored him and appointed Ms Sudan.
