Who will be new Member of CBDT?

Inclusion of new Members of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) remains speculative until the formal selection process is initiated. Among the contenders Anurag Prasad posted in Mumbai and Ms. Surabhi Varma Garg (IRS IT: 1991 Batch) who is posted as the Principal Chief Commissioner Income Tax, Kolkata are among the front-runners to be elevated as a member CBDT. At least one dozen other IRS officers from the 1991 and 1992 batch are also in the fray.
