Vijay Singhal, General Manager, BEST has been appointed as Vice President & Managing Director, CIDCO Mumbai. Singhal, who belongs to a 1997 batch IAS officer of Maharashtra cadre, is B.Tech. (Gold Medalist) in Civil Engineering from IIT-Roorkee. He also possesses a degree of M.Tech in Building Science & Construction Management from IIT-Delhi. Vijay Singhal is the recipient of the most prestigious “Prime Minister Award for Excellence in Public Administration” at the hands of Prime Minister of India for ‘River Linking Project’ in Jalgaon District in 2009. He has delivered a lecture on ‘Interlinking of rivers in Jalgaon district’ during the 9th International River Symposium and International River Conference held at Brisbane, Australia. He was also invited to present his work on river linking at the State University of New York at Albany, USA and Pennsylvania University at Penn State, USA.
