127 Bawm tribals of Bangladesh came to Mizoram
A total of 127 refugees, hailing from the Chittagong Hill Tract region in Bangladesh and belonging to the Bawm tribe, have sought refuge in six villages within Lawngtlai District, South Mizoram. The refugees fled their homeland in search of safety and security. The villages accommodating the refugees include Khawmawi, Hruitezawl, Hmawngbu, Bungtlang South, Vathuampui, and some individuals have sought shelter in Chamdur P village.
