IPS Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi is a 2012 Batch Officer of Himachal Pradesh Cadre and is currently posted as Superintendent of Police (SP) in Shimla, the capital of the state. Known for his Rigorous approach, His top priority for the district is to combat drug menace "Mission Against Drugs—we are working in this direction," he stated.
 
This year the tagline given to the mission is 'Bharosa.' “We are making a concerted effort at the district level," Gandhi stated.Under this initiative,alongside investigation the social aspects—such as rehabilitation and building confidence among masses plays a crucial role.
 
To address both the drug problem and its underlying causes,this awareness program encourages mass participation."Investigation and awareness programs are going hand in hand," Gandhi emphasized.
 
Recently,under his leadership,a drug network that operated using a geolocation-based trade mechanism for deliveries was busted.The Operation led to multiple arrests including that of key operator. The syndicate took online drug orders,dispatched parcels, and delivered them to specific locations all without direct contact between dealers and buyers.
 
Committed to stopping drug abuse and guiding the community in the right direction "We are getting very good results. We have broken the major supply chain levels " he stated.
