THDC Honoured for outstanding initiatives during Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 (UPDATED)

THDC India Limited, a premier Power Sector PSU, has been honoured for its exemplary initiatives and outstanding performance during Swachhata Pakhwada–2025, observed from May 16 to May 31, 2025. At a ceremony held in the Ministry of Power, Shram Shakti Bhawan, New Delhi, Sh. Pankaj Agarwal (IAS), Secretary (Power), Government of India, presented the recognition to R K Vishnoi, Chairman & Managing Director, THDC India Limited. The event was organized by the Ministry of Power in association with the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation. The recognition highlights THDCIL’s outstanding efforts and impactful initiatives undertaken during the fortnight-long observance of Swachhata Pakhwada 2025 across all its projects and units. Piyush Singh (IAS), Additional Secretary, Ministry of Power, GoI, D Sai Baba, Joint Secretary, Ministry of Power, GoI, Praveen Kumar, Under Secretary, MoP, GoI and Balwant Singh, Manager, (CMD, Sect.), THDCIL along with other officers from Ministry of Power and THDCIL were also present during the event. THDCIL undertook a wide range of innovative and impactful activities to promote cleanliness, hygiene, and environmental awareness across its projects and units. The organization conducted large-scale cleanliness drives in townships, project sites, and nearby villages, alongside zero-plastic campaigns and sanitation awareness programs. Schools and local communities were actively engaged through street plays, painting competitions, and Swachhta pledge-taking ceremonies, fostering mass participation and awareness. Tree plantation drives further promoted greenery, while the creative initiative “Treasure out of Trash” highlighted recycling and reuse, transforming waste into valuable resources. These efforts were complemented by extensive social media campaigns, ensuring wider outreach and visibility.  All activities were systematically reported on the Swachhata Samiksha Portal, in accordance with Ministry guidelines, ensuring transparency and accountability.
