Six IPS officers in UP belonging to the 2008 batch of UP cadre have been promoted to IGP rank. The promoted officers are: Kiran S, Anand Sureshrao Kulkarni, N Kolanchi, Amit Verma, Rajiv Malhotra and Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Nigam.
