MP Govt launches grand farmer welfare quiz with tractors, motorcycles as prizes (UPDATED)

In a bid to boost awareness of farmer welfare schemes spearheaded by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Madhya Pradesh government has unveiled the “Kisan Kalyan Swabhiman Parv Quiz,” a statewide online competition offering prizes worth Rs 6.50 crore, including tractors, Bullet motorcycles, and e-scooters. Announced by Shriram Tiwari, cultural advisor to the chief minister and trustee secretary of Veer Bharat Nyas, the initiative marks 2026 as the “Kisan Kalyan Swabhiman Parv” (Farmer Welfare Pride Festival). It combines vibrant folk and tribal art events across regions like Bundelkhand, Baghelkhand, Malwa, Nimar, and Mahakoshal with the quiz to connect farmers to government programs while celebrating their cultural heritage.

The quiz’s first phase runs until March 15, 2026, and is hosted online at www.veerbharatnyas.com. Participants will answer engaging questions on schemes such as Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, crop insurance, irrigation initiatives, Kisan Credit Cards, and state-specific programs like the Chief Minister’s Farmer Welfare Scheme.

Top prizes include 55 tractors for first place, 55 Bullet motorcycles for second, and 55 e-scooters for third, alongside Rs 11,000 cash awards for one farmer development center and one agricultural market per district. Winners will be selected via a district-wise lottery to ensure equitable opportunities.

Organised by the Culture Department, Veer Bharat Nyas, and agriculture bodies with support from New Delhi’s Agricultural Industry Development Council, the event aims to honour farmers as the “soul of the nation,” fostering pride, awareness, and prosperity through cultural innovation.
