Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth to assume charge as VCOAS (UPDATED)
Lt Gen Dhiraj Seth (Southern Army Commander) is slated to assume charge as Vice Chief of the Army Staff (VCOAS) effective 1 April 2026, replacing Lt Gen P.P. Singh. Consequential command reshuffles include Lt Gen Sandeep Jain and Lt Gen V.M.B. Krishnan moving to Army Commander-level posts (Southern and Eastern Commands, respectively).
