Handloom and Handicraft Boards winds up
Few days before the World Handloom Day, the govt scraps Handlooms and Handicraft Boards. Notifications were issued on July 27 and August 3, 2020 respectively. NH Day falls on August 7 every year. Notification said “In consonance with the Government of India vision of ‘Minimum Government and Maximum Governance’, a leaner Government Machinery and the need for systematic rationalization of Government bodies, the Government of India has abolished.”
