PM’s clear message to Ministers to come with only global standard policies

The Prime Minister is reported to have given a clear message to Ministers to come up with policies and projects matching global standards. He also reprimanded the Ministers for blame games and asked them to prepare only high quality cabinet notes.
Tightening Noose on Kejriwal and Sisodia: Non-Cooperation in ‘Phansi Ghar’ Probe Amid Legal and Political Heat

The grip is tightening on Arvind Kejriwal and Manish Sisodia as they continue to skip the Delhi Assembly Privileges Committee meetings investigating the “Phansi Ghar” controversy. Both leaders have only appeared in written form to challenge the inquiry, calling it “legally unsustainable and devoid of Constitutional sanction,” and asserting that the committee lacks authority to investigate the structure’s authenticity. Despite this, the committee has summoned them multiple times and criticized their repeated no-shows, emphasizing its intent to proceed with the inquiry. The committee has also summoned other AAP leaders like Ram Niwas Goel and Rakhi Birla, who have similarly failed to cooperate, deepening the political standoff. The controversy escalated after current Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta questioned the legitimacy of the structure, which was inaugurated in 2022 by the then AAP government as a memorial called a “Phansi Ghar” (execution chamber). Gupta termed it historically baseless, stating archival records show it was actually a service tiffin room, not a gallows. The ongoing refusal of Kejriwal and Sisodia to cooperate has drawn legal notices and strengthened the committee’s resolve to pursue the matter, indicating a tightening noose on the former CM and his deputy as political and legal pressures mount.
