whispers in the corridors

Delhi se Bihar Chalega

Political watchers say in top positions that the PMO will have a say in Bihar. They say, like other BJP-ruled states “Delhi se hi Bihar Chalega”. One can wait and watch.
BJP Joins Opposition For The First Time in Flagging Voter Roll Deletions in Odisha !

BJP leader Sambit Patra has written to the Election Commission (EC) raising concerns over the proposed deletion of nearly 9.8 lakh voters during the ongoing electoral roll revision in Odisha. In his communication, Patra urged the poll body to ensure that no voter is removed without thorough verification and due process, stressing the need for transparency and accountability.
He warned that large-scale deletions, if not carefully scrutinised, could risk disenfranchising eligible voters and undermine confidence in the electoral process. Patra called on the EC to clearly outline the methodology being followed and to provide adequate safeguards for affected individuals to appeal or rectify discrepancies.
Significantly, this marks the first instance of the ruling Biju Janata Dal aligning with opposition parties in questioning the EC over voter roll revisions. Opposition groups across states have previously alleged irregularities in similar exercises.
The development signals a rare convergence of concerns across party lines, even as the EC maintains that revisions are being conducted in accordance with established guidelines.

Petronet LNG Limited is set to invest ₹2,100 crore to expand its Dahej LNG terminal in Gujarat, reinforcing its position as a key pillar of India’s energy infrastructure. The Dahej facility, located in the Gulf of Khambhat, is already India’s largest LNG regasification terminal and the first of its kind in Southeast Asia. As of March 2026, its capacity has been scaled up to 22.5 million metric tonnes per annum (MMTPA), enabling it to handle large LNG carriers, including Q-Max vessels.
The proposed expansion is expected to receive government approval soon, signaling strong policy support for boosting natural gas usage in India’s energy mix. This move aligns with the country’s long-term strategy to increase the share of cleaner fuels and reduce dependence on conventional hydrocarbons.
The Dahej terminal plays a critical role in importing liquefied natural gas and distributing it across industries, power plants, and city gas networks. The planned investment will enhance operational efficiency, improve capacity utilization, and strengthen India’s energy security while supporting growing domestic demand for natural gas.
