Chairpersons of 11 IIITs get six-month extension till Feb 24, 2027

The President of India, who is also Visitor of the Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIITs) has approved the proposal for a six-month extension in term for Chairperson, Board of Governors of 11 IIITs with effect from August 25, 2026 to February 24, 2027.

 Those BoG Chairperson who terms have been extended are Deepak Ghaisas, Chairperson, Board of Governors of IIITDM Jabalpur, Dr. Sukhi Oraon, IIIT (PPP) Senapati, Bollineni Rajgopal Naidu, IAS (Retd.), IIIT (PPP) Raichur, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Konsam Himalaya Singh, IIIT (PPP), Agartala, Smt. Kavita Khanna, IIIT (PPP) Sonepat, Ashok Khade, IIIT (PPP) Bhagalpur, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Shri Anil Bhatt, IIIT (PPP) Kota, Prof. (Retd.) Viiaylaxmi Deshmane,IIIT (PPP) Kottayam, Vishad Mafatlal, IIIT (PPP) Lucknow, Anil Kumble, IIIT (PPP) Tiruchirappalli and Satyabrata Dey,IIIT (PPP) Guwahati.
