India exports Akash SAM systems to Central Asia

India has exported indigenous Akash surface-to-air missile systems to Tajikistan and Turkmenistan, boosting defence exports and regional influence. Former DRDO Chief Dr. Samir V. Kamat confirmed the deals; the medium-range Akash can intercept aircraft, helicopters, drones, and cruise missiles.
