NMDC Steel produces 455 HR coils in a day, sets another record

Nagarnar: NMDC Steel’s Nagarnar Steel Plant began the month of November on a high note by producing 455 Hot Rolled Coils in a day on 3rd November 2026. This is the highest per day production of HR Coils, since inception. Rolling 455 HR Coils in a 24-hour period effectively showcases technological excellence of NSL’s Hot Strip Mill that is ably complimented by the technical competence of NSL’s workforce.

The previous per day highest HR Coil production figure was 440 coils rolled on the 1st day of the month. It is noteworthy that in fiscal 2025-26, Nagarnar Steel Plant produced 2,324,902 tonnes, representing a 63% increase compared to the 1,438,646 tonnes produced in the previous year. The same momentum is also reflected in the current single day production record for HR coils.
