THDCIL hosts national conference on new labour codes

Rishikesh: THDC India Limited (THDCIL) is organising a two-day national conference, ‘Vimarsh 2026 – THDC Human Resources Conclave’, at its corporate office in Rishikesh from October 30 to 31. The conference focuses on ‘Workforce 2026: Driving Organisational Readiness for India’s New Labour Codes’.

THDCIL Managing Director S.K. Garg inaugurated the conference, emphasising the need for organisations to understand changing labour laws and translate regulatory reforms into effective workplace practices. He said human resources played a crucial role in employee engagement, talent development and organisational growth.

Former Chief Labour Commissioner (Central) Dr Omkar Sharma delivered the keynote address on the evolution of India's labour laws and the legislative journey leading to the four new Labour Codes. Swami Yog Swarupanand spoke about the principles of Karma Yoga, ethical conduct and selfless service.

A key highlight was the release of the ‘Labour Code Readiness Compendium’, a practical reference guide to help organisations understand and implement the new codes.

Organised in collaboration with SHRM India, the conclave provides a platform to discuss the four codes covering wages, industrial relations, social security, and occupational safety, health and working conditions. It aims to improve compliance, workforce resilience and organisational preparedness for the new legal framework.
