Navy chief to focus on maritime security

In view of the post Operation Sindoor preparedness, Chief of Naval Staff (CNS), Adm Dinesh Kumar Tripathi is focusing on maritime security in the Indo-Pacific and naval modernisation. His visit to Japan in July 2025 underscored strategic ties. Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C), Western Naval Command, Vice Adm Krishna Swaminathan, is overseeing operations in the Arabian Sea. Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief (FOC-in-C), Eastern Naval Command, Vice Adm Rajesh Pendharkar is strengthening the Navy’s presence in the Bay of Bengal. Rear Adm Susheel Menon as Flag Officer Commanding Eastern Fleet (FOCEF), who is Commanding INS Delhi (Guided Missile Destroyer), INS Shakti (Fleet Tanker), and INS Kiltan (Anti Submarine Warfare corvette), during their deployment to Vietnam in July 2025, is reflecting operational focus on Southeast Asia.
