He noted that Prime Minister Modi, in his August 15 speech, highlighted its role in enhancing India’s strategic defense, aiming for rollout by 2035. The system is intended to protect strategic, civilian, and nationally important sites, serving as both a shield and a sword. Mission Sudarshan Chakra, as outlined, will require extensive integration and development of infrastructure and processes. It aims to enable the detection, acquisition, and neutralisation of enemy air vectors using both soft and hard kill options.
