Election Commission Transfers 19 Officers In West Bengal
ECI transferred 19 IPS officers (including 6 Commissioners of Police and 13 District SPs). Key postings: Dr Rajesh Kumar Singh (1997-batch) as ADG & IGP, South Bengal Region; K Jayaraman (1997) as ADG & IGP, North Bengal; Pranav Kumar (2003) as CP, Asansol-Durgapur; Akhilesh Kumar Chaturvedi (2005) as CP, Howrah; Amit Kumar Singh (2009) as CP, Barrackpore; Sunil Kumar Yadav (2009) as CP, Chandannagar. Some senior IPS sent as observers to Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
