MS’s Xbox lay-off 1600 staff; to reduce team by another 1600 in next one year (UPDATED)
Xbox, Microsoft’s gaming wing will reduce its team size by 3200 employees. Of these 1600 employees were laid off on Monday. The other 1600 would be eliminated over the next 12 months, said CEO of Xbox Asha Sharma in a post on X. In the elaborate post she admitted that, “our business today is not healthy. We are operating at margins that are 3–10x lower than comparable platform and publishing businesses.”
