Much awaited banking amendment bill is likely to be tabled in the monsoon session of Parliament. The said bill was supposed to be tabled during the Budget session but reportedly deferred due to elections in Punjab. The proposed bill is said to be related to the privatization of the Central Bank of India and the Indian Overseas Bank.
